Changes to Churchill Expert’s services

From 1 June 2024, Churchill Expert will no longer be arranging new policies or renewals.

We’re still available to answer your questions, make amendments or handle cancellations as normal.


Churchill Expert customers

If you’re an existing Churchill Expert customer there’s no immediate change to the terms and conditions of your NIG policy, so rest assured, your business is still covered.

If you need to make any changes to your policy before your renewal date, please get in touch with us on 0345 835 4289, and we’ll be happy to help you.

When your policy nears its renewal date, we’ll get in touch to confirm that we won’t be able to arrange the renewal of your NIG policy. This communication will also include details of the agreement that NIG has put in place for the arrangement and administration of your policy in the future, if you wish to use this service.

New customers

If you’re new to Churchill Expert, we won’t be able to arrange a policy for you with a start date of 1 June 2024 or later.

If you already have a quote, you must accept it before 31 May 2024.

What customers ask


In September 2023, it was announced that the insurer, Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Limited (RSA) was acquiring part of Direct Line Group’s commercial business, including Churchill Expert. RSA has since undertaken a strategic review of Churchill Expert and decided to discontinue the service.


Churchill Expert closing will not affect any ongoing claims, and they will continue to be handled by NIG. If you need to make a claim, you can register it online.
