Contents Insurance

If you're letting a furnished or part-furnished property, you can take out insurance to help protect your contents against any repair or replacement costs caused by accidental damage.

If you've already taken out a policy, you can add contents cover to your insurance to protect any furnishings or household items you've left for your tenants to use.

Churchill Expert can arrange up to £500,000 contents cover* including damage to furniture, fixtures and fittings that don't form a permanent part of your property's structure.

You can get Buildings and Contents cover together but Contents is only available separately if the building's occupancy is residential only.

*Optional extras can be added to your policy for an additional premium.

What's covered?

  • Take out up to £500k Contents cover
  • Floor coverings up to £5,000 with the option to increase your cover
  • The cost of re-housing your tenants if the property becomes uninhabitable
  • Add accidental damage for contents when you've insured them
  • Standard extensions include replacement of locks, debris removal costs, loss of oil, and metered water costs.
  • Malicious damage and/or theft by tenant cover (damage that can't be recovered from a security deposit, up to £10,000)
  • New-for-old Contents Insurance
  • Unlimited glass cover
